Eating habits in ancient Greece. Tip-6: Spices
Spices were the standard ingredient in every ancient
Greek cuisine. Greeks used them to make their food spicier. The most common
were salt, oregano, vinegar, mint, peppermint, fennel, thyme, sesame seeds,
raisins, capers, cardamom, fig leaves, cumin, and molasses. The most wanted
spice was the black paper which was imported from Persia.
